Event spaces (Brooklyn, NY)
BK Venues are a blank palette for hosts to customize to their heart’s content. They operate a collection of landmark buildings rehabilitated into gorgeous event spaces, where part of your decor comes in the form of historic charm.
They are a full-day rental with no rush to get you in and out as quickly as an assembly line because they know the perfect event takes time. They are as unique as you want to be, without the cookie-cutter edges of standard event venues.
They are hands-off, letting you choose your caterers, decor, planners, and everything else. They are the perfect backdrop for your event.

Wedding Planner (New York, NY)
Honed from a career in theatre, Jason approaches all weddings with his playwriting background: What is the couple’s version of their most beautiful story to be told?
He began working full time as a wedding planner after the 2014 launch of his book Getting Groomed: The Ultimate Wedding Planner for Gay Grooms. Identifying as both gay and Jewish, it is important that his company collaborates with vendors that espouse those same standards.
Before launching Jason Mitchell Kahn & Co, he served as the resident Wedding Planner for Shiraz Events and at Soho House as the Event and Banquet Manager.
Weddings and Events (New York Tri-State Area & Italy)
Marina started her PR career with Donna Karan as Director of International Public Relations in Milan, Italy. Upon returning to New York, she ultimately began Marina Luri Events after stints at Hermes, her own full-service PR firm and a Fortune 500 financial services company.
Marina Luri Events has planned and produced social, corporate & non-profit events throughout Europe & the United States for over 15 years. They have planned and produced events as small as an intimate wedding for two – to as large as a sit down dinner for 900 with a private concert by Andrea Bocelli.
They always work tirelessly to find solutions for their clients. Whether it’s transporting a wedding cake to the island of Capri or ushering VIPs on small boats through the narrow Venice waterways – no task is too small and no challenge they can’t conquer.

Here’s the thing: we’re just like you. Well, we were just like you. Our big day was rapidly approaching, and of course, just like you, we wanted it to be special. We had our perfect venue, an amazing band, and a caterer that really excited us. But we wanted something… more. Was that too much to ask?
We considered everything! Photo booth, food truck, donut trees, a cigar roller. All of these ideas were… fine? They just weren’t “the one”.
Then one day Jami had a great idea: scotch! Brian had recently attended a whisky tasting and raved about it. Would Macallan pour their party? After countless calls and emails, we got our wish. And the result was perfect.
Once a third friend asked if we could help create a similar experience at their wedding, PourMyParty officially came alive. Today we create the same types of spirits tastings at weddings and events across New York area.
